Things to do before departure....To do before departure:
Clean up after yourself. Turn off the two fuses in the fuse box in both the cabin and cottage that you turned on when you arrived. Thoroughly clean all surfaces. Clean the bathrooms thoroughly, including the toilets. Take any refuse, you have accumulated, to the recycling center in Windham. Leave no trash of any kind behind. Replace the garbage bags in the trash receptacles if they need to be. Launder the bedding and towels that were used during your visit. Fold and place the clean bedding and laundry in the appropriate Rubbermaid containers in the closets. Close the Rubbermaid containers tightly. Close the closet doors securely. If you use the laundry detergent, dish washing detergent or anything else and see we are running low, replace it. Thoroughly clean out the fireplace in the cabin and cottage if you used them. If mice are caught in any of the traps, dispose of them and reset the traps. Replace the firewood you used and arrange up a set of logs and kindling in the fireplace for the next visitor. If you see anything that needs a little extra tender loving care, take care of it without looking to take credit for it. Close all doors on the interior of both the cabin and cottage. Turn all thermostats off except for the main rooms in the cabin and cottage. In those rooms, set the temp to 50 degrees or lower if possible. Sweep and mob the floors. Pull the drapes closed in the cabin. Be certain to lock the sliding deck door from the inside in the cabin. Lock up. Crime is on the rise, even in the Catskills. Return the key to where you found it. Assume Mother is visiting for the weekend, that she is annoyed, and looking for you. Your trustees take care of everything from bills to capital management, from capital investment and facilities to maintenance. It is yours, treat it accordingly. There is no “support staff” only us. Calendar Rules-To further simplify and refine the policy for the fair and appropriate usage of the cabin, cottage, and property in Windham for all concerned, the property trustees have unanimously agreed to the following:
